As a fine art publisher, we act as a representative to produce and distribute our artists’ work in art galleries and upscale retail outlets, as well as manufacture decorative merchandise and apparel products which are sold in a wide variety of retail stores. We’re able to tailor your artwork with compatible distribution channels. Our National Retail Network has made it easier for us to handle fine art distribution in regional and global markets.

Our Focus on Artist Management

Black Sand Publishing believes artist management is a fundamental step in creating a successful art program. Discovering a talented artist is a rigorous process, but once contracted we focus on developing and managing the artists’ strengths. To do this, we begin establishing a relationship with the artist to gain an accurate understanding of the artists’ particular art style and vision, as well as a strong understanding of their personality and “story”.

Our management, marketing, and sales teams then create strategic goals for each artist to prepare them for the future. Whether its regional or international marketing campaigns, Black Sand Publishing’s management provides the expertise, account consulting, collateral, and pitch for each artists’ program. The marketing team diligently concentrates on market research and branding in order to keep up with art market trends and seek out every possible approach to ensure the success of the artists’ program. The sales team helps to define and promote artist programs worldwide. Our National Retail Network has anchored Black Sand Publishing into art networks and communities.

Once all parties have grasped the goals of the artists’ program, we quickly transition into production and printing. Partnered with Hawai‘i’s biggest fine art Giclée printing company, Chromaco, every piece is produced with quality and care. In addition, we are able to offer other products such as greeting cards, frames, apparel, merchandise and more to complement the program. By facilitating every aspect of production and distribution, we set the highest standards of quality control and customer service.

At Black Sand Publishing, we are constantly seeking opportunities to further the goals of our clients. We have found one of the best ways to support both our artists and retailers is through coordinating and promoting special events.

We have successfully worked with our clients to hold and participate in Art Festivals, Exhibitions, Signing Events, Meet & Greets, Workshops, Art Shows, In-Store Events, Trade Shows, Pop-Ups, and more!

These types of events allow artists to connect with their fans, promote new interest in their work, and reach a wider audience so that they can continue to share their art with the world.

Black Sand Publishing is extremely focused on sales and customer service for its gallery and retail clientele, and our mission is to discover emerging talented artists with the expertise, product and desire to see their program represented nationally and beyond.

How to Submit Art

All artwork must be submitted digitally via e-mail to:  inquiries@blacksandpublishing.com
In addition to pictures, it would be helpful for our evaluation if you also sent information such as:

• Social media accounts and web site link
• Competitions, Awards, and Achievements
• Where and how you currently sell your artwork
• Catalog or Price-lists

DO NOT SUBMIT any original artwork.

Any mailed items (CD’s, prints, slides, brochures, etc) will NOT be returned.

Once we review your e-mail submission and if there is continued interest, we will contact you to possibly send examples of your physical artwork for further consideration (these will be returned).

Art Selection Process.

Our art team will consider your submission, and if accepted, we will discuss an exclusive publishing relationship to develop distribution for your artwork, grow your artist brand, and broaden product offerings.  We look for artists and artwork that have the appeal and potential to be a leading brand in a defined target market, and which does not overlap with our existing offerings.

Due to the high number of inquiries we receive, we may not be able to reply to everyone.
